Post by mamurao »

Hello all

joined this forum, and proud owner of a 07 xc90 with premium package. I want to know if this 3.2 engine is a timing chain. Found some that the 06 and below were belts. Forum looks great different topics for XC90

thanks in advanced.

Hello,
I too, have an 07 XC 90 3.2 which I dearly love.
No problems. It has 75,000.
Have you had any problems???
Take that back, my wife just noticed today, as she was accelerating in town it wanted to hesitate. Not for sure on that. Could be bad gas.
Do you use 91 Octane??

I used only 87 octane, still not bad , i feel some hesitation but i guess that's normal. just hit 75K kms. still good no problems and enjoying the car. passed on the CPO extension as it was $5K

3.2, 3.0 turbo , and the V8 are all chain motors with no scheduled change interval for chain.
the 2.8 turbo, 2.9 turbo(really was a 2.8-got renamed for 2000) 2.9, and 3.0 litre non-turbo(really was a 2.9 and also got renamed for 2000) are timing belt motors as are all the five cylinders and four cylinders in North American market.
