Flashing lights on my ECC panel...

Post by AP »

I've got a 2000 Volvo S70 GLT and the AC OFF+Recirc lights started flashing for 20 sec after engine start today, indicating a fault in the ECC sys. I just vaccumed and cleaned the car when it came on. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this by myself?

You need to check your codes via the OBDII port under the ashtray.

Call an auto parts store -- they usually will lend you a code reader for little or no cost.
Help keep MVS on the web -> click sponsors' links here on MVS when you buy from them.

Also -> Amazon link
. Click that when you go to buy something on Amazon and MVS gets a cut!

I did check the error codes with my OBDll reader. Only code stored was P1171. What does that mean?
