Replacing the battery on S80 T6

I was sitting in my listening to my radio when I noticed the message "Low battery voltage" or something like that. I going to replace the battery since I just bought the car. Does anyone have any precautionary advice before I unhook the battery and change it out??? Please let me know!!

Make sure to get a battery with a vent pipe for the hydrogen gas. Just remove negative terminal first, then positive cable. When reinstalling, the negative terminal is connected last.

The AC Delco battery it called for didn't have a vent pipe. I hope this will be all right. Also see my problem I listed after changing the battery>
