My truck at work has a set of Generals on it. I'd never put Generals on a personal vehicle. Wear is terrible and they're scary in the rain.

Thats what came on my XC90. they're so bad that i took them off with only 3000 miles on them. Downright scary in the rain.

Oops..thats right. Thanks..well the former owner has NEXEN Rodian. Also heard Maxxis is good.

I decided to go with these tires for my Wife's 2007 XC90.. Reviews are good and the fact is that it's not a popular brand, nor are they widely distributed, so people don't know about them. I'll let everyone know how they turn out.

i called discount tire and they recommended yokahama yk520 255/55/18....I'll let you know about the treadlife

Installed at Discount Tire in NC and drove home to Charleston SC. 4 hour drive and it was nice and quite, very SMOOTH! Love these tires.

So far so good...already put in 5K miles. I keep the tire pressure at 39psi

I fitted Vredstien Wintrac 4 Extreme's when I first got the XC90 because I wanted a more aggressive off road tread. I ebay'd the original tyres. They've been fantastic. The wear rate is 10,000 miles per milimeter. They start with 8 mm. They are very popular with Land Rover Discovery owners too.
