Make yourself a sketch of the belt routing! There is not one under the hood!
The tensioners have either a 1/2", 3/4", or a large torx drive as the tool you use to turn it to get tension released.
Other tools can be used to grasp the tensioner such as large channel lock pliers or a large adjustable wrench.

On the tensioners that have the "torx" like opening I found you can use a 1/2 inch breaker bar with two pennies taped to it. They should be next to each other but not on top of each other. It fits in the hole and saves you from buying a special tool or getting your hand caught when your improvised method slips off !!
