Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

2000 S80 Normal, Dash is lit like a holiday tree. ABS service due, Traction control service due, and most disturbing....No oil presure, shut off motor ASAP. Car runs fine and when I remove the oil cap, oil is beinng tossed about so its pumping. OBD only shows a misfire. What is going on here?

Well, the 2000 S80 is in an indy shop of good repute in Philadelphia. It will have timing belt service, sludge trap trap replaced and pan cleaned. New plugs and coil packs as needed. The odometer shows 112,724 mi. I was lied to by the dealer from whom I bought it who said he had taken it to a local Volvo dealer who had asurred him that that the T- Belt service had been done. His story changed to having phoned a dealer and was told that the sticker ( a bar coded part number for the cover) meant that the service had been done. This combined with the sludge trap beaing wasted, no records and a bad ABS sensor begs to question what else should be done to make this a reliable driver? I am not a mechanic and came to this forum to gleen as much knowledge as I can to keep up with service intervals and whatever gremlins this modle comes with. If someone would take the time to fire off a check list of what to do and look for, I would be most grateful as no mechanic is going to be compleatly forthcoming when questioned about a potential cash cow. I need a wingman here.

Sounds like you have the PCV taken care of. Other things would be the ETM (Throttle body) and a tranny drain and fill is probably a good idea too
