Installation of CD multichanger into V70 Topic is solved

Hi, I'm new to this site, but would very much appreciate any advice on whether it is possible to install a 6 disc multichanger into my 2001 V70 2.4TSE.

The multichanger is from a V70 1998 which I've just sold. The 2001 V70 has a different 'radio/CD' configuration to the old model, and I'm not sure whether my 'old' multichanger (Alpine CHM S630) is compatable. It was wired by my Volvo dealer, into the boot of the '98 V70 when I purchased it from them.

Do I need to remove the existing radio/CD (if so how!) - as was necessary to wire the multichanger to the old radio, or is there some other connection I'm missing
