The horn won't stop unless I pull the fuse for the horn/wipers. Can I disable the horn another way until I have the steering wheel pads checked.

I saw your posting on fixing the horn problem but am not brave enough or adept to try to remove the airbag!

Thanks.

:) You can disable the horn(s) by unplugging the wiring harness at each of the trumpets in the system. This will allow you to replace the fuse and thereby energize the wipers, etc and still not have the horns making their horrible sound ad infinitum. Good Luck ! :D

Please confirm where the trumpets (i think there are two) are on a 1994 850 wagon -- i thought they were under the fender area on the drivers side, but couldn't see them.

:D Sam, the trumpets for the horn are located behind the grille and can be accessed by kneeling in front of the car after the hood has been lifted. The trumpets are located one in each of the two cavities on either side of the center bar in the Radiator support super structure. ( at least that is where they are on my '94 850 Wagon ) There is also a horn trumpet mounted on the firewall behind the top center of the engine just below the windshield wiper area; however, I do not believe it is part of the horn system. Good Luck ! :D

I disconnected the trumpets (one each) in front of the radiator and that disabled the horn.

Thanks.
