I have to replace my front struts and rear shock.
My choice Sachs /boges for 279 for parts
or Bilstein twin tube struts and shocks for 300
Which is better?
Struts ,shocks

Are those prices quoted for all 4 shocks/struts?? Boge is OEM, so if you want OEM feel, go with them. Bilstein's tend to have a stiffer rebound and a slightly stiffer compression stroke, which can result in a sportier feel. I have also heard however that the Bilstein's tend to raise ride height by about a half inch or so, depending on which model you get. I personally just got in on a groupbuy for Weitec Shocks/Struts/Springs. I paid $700.

I'm also doing shocks on a '98 V70 I just bought. I've put Bilstein twin tube (Touring Class, ie black, F4) ones at the back, thinking maybe my fronts were OK but now I reckon I'll go all the way. However, the shop is telling me the car really needs the Heavy Duty (B6) struts up front. The IPD site raves about the HD monotube but I'm reluctant to pay that much especially if in fact its silly to have different shocks fore and aft.
If bsco is happy with TC's all round, I'm encouraged to go that route. Any dissenters? I love the flat cornering of this car but I'm keen to get the car much less rattly and bouncy than it is now (with 280,000km behind it).

Bilstein HD's are a very rough riding shock. If you're interested in comfort, go with the TC. They can easily handle everything you throw at it and are plenty heavy duty enough.
