Hi Folks, Can anyone help me out here, done a service on my friends v50 2.0 td / 2008, Now have trouble get,n the car 2 start

Did it run fine before the service? What did you service? Is there a check engine line?

If you changed fuel filter then turn on ignition for 10 seconds and then off and then on again for 10 sec three times. THat should purge most air from system and then HP fuel pump will take it from there.

Thanks for your replys, it seems to have lost fuel pressure from i changed filter, (airlocked..?) Would this cause the injectors to shut down... ??

yes, until the fuel rail pressure reaches the minimum pressure it will not operate injectors.

Thanks for your reply Jimmy, do they ever give problems drawing in air at fuelfilter, Got the car going again after alot of cranking but it cut out again about 2 hours later & would not fire up agan....

Yes, the filter o rings and connections must be properly sealed or air will be pulled in and it will stop.

I guess you got it fired by now. It`s important when you replace fuel filter on a dieselcar to fill the new filter with fuel before installing it.I guess you learned it the hard way same as me :)
