I have a couple questions regarding timing belt replacement. I am at the point where I am trying to line up the marks before pulling the old belt. 1st, I see multiple marks on the cam gears. One set is on a raised section of the gear and has 3 dots with what looks like a circle between them, the other mark is just a vertical slash. I'm guessing that the slash is the mark I want to use. Is that correct? Next is the crank gear mark, do I use the raised line on the flange that sits in front of the gear and line it up with the embossed line on the front of the block to the left? Also, when I was taking off the belt cover I knocked some sort of white plastic guard off at the bottm that looks like it might protect the boot covering the steering boot/shaft. Any help in replacing that would be great. Any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Dave

But I hope you have a impact gun because getting the crank pully off is pretty damn hard inless you have the vovlo tool to hold the crank sprocket. If you don't you might want to think about having a shop do it?
I did my own but I have the tool's so not to bad. The right tool's make all the difference they really do!
Any questions hit me up...
