bad tires

Post by jldawson4386 »

I am at approx. 62,000 miles on my 2004 S60 and have just put my 4th set of tires on in the past year. For whatever reason, the tires wear down to the core within about 12,000 miles. I've gone from Michellin to Perellis back to Michellin. Has anyone else had this problem? I've had the front and rear alignment checked and they are both perfect.

if you have the super soft ones (ZR), they'll only last for 10-15K miles. i have the s60r and dread having to replace the tires.

All season Bridgestone Potenzas or Michelin Energies should last good 30k miles. My Michelins never wore down, I had to change them for the rubber getting too hard with age. If regular all seasons go in 12k you have to drive so aggressively that you probably would not have a license anymore
