S60 fan wiring

Hi all, firstly let me say I do appreciate the effort that is put into these forums, so thank you to all contributors.

I have a question re retro fitting a S60 V 70 fan to an earlier vehicle.

the question is one on wiring and how it should be wired in???

The fan was supplied with two connectors, one of a single 'red' wire to the 'little silver box' and the second connector
having Green and Black wires.

Any assistance would be appreciate, so that it can be wired in correctly,
