Quick query.
I have bought a 2004 Volvo S60 SE D5 and the alarm is bugging me!
small thing but..when activating...lights don't flash...but when deactivating they do! Usually they flash either way...and it's most annoying that they don't when alarming..as I'm not always sure the doors are locked without standing there and checking them.
Is this the norm? or can Mr V change it with my V's computer?
Cheers,

Well, they sorted it during the standard 24K service and I never even mentioned it to them!
Nice.

Easy soulution !
Open the hood and shut it again. This is a well known problem that the lights dont flash if the hood is not properly closed. I just open and lift the hood about up to 1 ft and then let it fall down and close. Good luck !

Well, I didn't belive that at first...but it's right!!
Bonnet was definitly closed properly, guess it's the alarm contact point must be quite particular..half a foot...didn't do it..but aye... a foot drop did the trick.
Still amazed!
Cheers!

The bonet alarm trigger gets covered in mood and starts to fail... when slaming the hood the mood and dirt falls of and it works jist fine again... there's no magic
