Hello,
I'm a new Volvo owner and new to the forum. I've just come into a 1992 240 GL .
I haven't picked it up yet, but I have been told the driver's side balljoint needs replacement. I've never done a balljoint before, but I know I need a balljoint seperator, and possily a press of some sort.
I looked at a picture of the part at Advance Auto's website, and I don't see anything that looks like it needs pressing - this looks like just a bolt-on part that won't require any special tools or skills (apart from the seperator).
Is my assumption right? Anything I should look out for, or anything special I need to know.
And I'm in Buffalo, NY, so I'm expecting a good bit of rust. Are there any bolts in there that would be horrible to accidentally break?
Oh, and these are all metric I'm assuming, correct?
I have some questions about doing the timing belts, but I'm sure they've been asked before, so I'm off to do a search. Thanks!
