Can I play a DVD on the Nav System?

Can I play a DVD on my Navigation system? My neigbor owns a Caddy SUV and he was able to trick his Nav system into playing a DVD on his front screen by placing the Nav system into maintenance mode. Has anyone been able to do this with the XC90 Nav system? If so, how? Thanks.

YES IT IS POSSIBLE, I HAVE INSTALLED IT AND IT WORKS GREAT.

I know this is an old topic but there is a system out now, known as the Gateway 500. This fibre optic device will allow connection of Ipod, Aux input and USB connection into the XC90.

The last price check i had for this kit was in the region of
