93 850 wont start new battery

My 93 850GLT wont start. The other day it died in the garage. It barely turned over, then ran down and lights went out during starting. Figuresd its cold and battery is 5 years old, SO i bought a new baterry. Still wont start.
Turns over but wont fire, tries a little tho. A few months back replaced plugs, distr, & Cap, all bosch. Wires Bougicord. Ran fine, started fine until a few days ago

any ideas??????????????/

weekend warrior here. Pull a plug and, while someone turns the engine over, see what kind of spark you're getting. if you're getting plenty of spark, then it's probably lacking fuel. we can go from there or someone else can chime in.

FUEL FILTER !!!!!!!, a friend of mine suggested the fuel pump since it was not getting any fuel, knocked on the tank while starting, nothing. Looked back thru my records, last fuel filter was at 119,000, now im at 172,000. Knocked on the filter a few times with a hammer, STARTED sluggish but it started. Ordered a new filter pulled the old one , now running great!! Lesson learned change your filter more often as the car gets older, you have more crud in your tank!@
