Help! I just did a hack job (actually not that bad) installing a CD player in my 1992 740 Turbo. I removed the CR-718, cut the connector off (I know...I should have just bought an adapter) and installed the new radio (works great). I can't figure out which left over wire goes to the auto-antenna. There are 6 wires left over: a black grd, a blue (also appears to be to grd), a white (also appears to be to ground), 2 x yellow/white (no power, but some resistance measured), and a green (no power or ground). I also removed the amp beneath the steering column (I'm assuming that it only powered the speakers...is that wrong?). Anyway...I've scoured the internet and library and can't find any schmatics to help solve this mystery. Also...my headlights don't work now...parking lights, but no headlights. I'm hoping someone can help me so I don't have to go to any drastic measures...help please!!!

OEM CD install caused a couple of problems...
Here you have the colours for 740, 1986. Most probably you have the same colours:
GN-R = constant feeding
OR = power feeding
R = to power antenna
Y-W = left front+
W = left front -
Y-GR = right front +
GR = right front -
SB = ground
BL = connection at instrument (light level)
YB-B = left rear +
B = left rear -
Y-SB = right rear +
SB = right rear -
Good luck!

I think I figured it out. The OEM radio had a 14 pin connector with the following:
1- Brown/White: left front speaker
3- Brown: left front speaker
2- Grey/Red: right front speaker
4- Grey: right front speaker
5- Not used
6- 2xYellow/White: power from headlight switch (not sure why...panel lights?)
7- White: panel lighting (- I think)
8- Blue: panel lighting (+ I think)
9- Green/Red: 12 VDC Constant
10- 2xBlack: Ground
11- Orange: 12 VDC Accessory
12 - Green/Grey: auto antenna
13- Not used
14- Not used
The reason I couldn't figure out why the auto antenna didn't work was because I had the antenna switch (just left of the steering column) in the off/down position....idiot. When ever I took resistance or voltage measurements I got zilch...no wonder. And once I connected the 2 yellow/white wires from pin 6 together (i had cut them from the original connector) the headlights worked again...goofy.
Anyway, thanks for the help!
