I'm planning on buying a 04 S80 2.5T auto off my parents and wondering about preventive maintenance. It's clean in and out, all recalls have been done, oil and Mx done in accordance with the owners manual and it has 58k miles. I'm planning on doing an oil change (M1 synth), power steering flush, trans flush, coolant flush, new air filter (K&N), and I'll have the battery checked (it's original), maybe new plugs? and I'll check out the brakes (may do new rotors, pads, flush). I have plenty of car Mx experience but this is my first Volvo. From searching it appears there are some "quirks" in fluids that I can use but I'm not finding much on the 2004 model. I need clarification on the following.
Fluids: what can I use/not use...?
1.ATF
2.PS
3.Coolant
Other: are they needed at this mileage...?
1. Spark plugs
2. Aux trans cooler
This is my first turbo vehicle. I tend to be OCD on Mx (especially fluids and filters) and want to just get it all done from the start. I don't plan on mods for this vehicle... I have my maxima for those.
