Seafoam on sale $6.99

Post by matthew1 »

These are the standard 16oz cans, usually $9 or $10 at local auto parts shops like Auto Zone, O'Reilly, Checker etc.

This is a love it or hate it product. I happen to love it and use it. Here's my Seafoam tutorial from last summer. Here's a Seafoam tutorial for newer Volvos -- most 2000's models -- that don't have a handy vacuum tree. I'm going to get some at this $6.99 price.

Note: it does not ship. You must pick it up at a store. I have a feeling this is a federal shipping rule because Seafoam is flammable.

I've bought online and picked up at Advance Auto Parts back in Fall 2010 -- Mobil 1 EP quarts for $3.99 -- and it was quick and painless.

I did it twice and drove only for five or ten miles each time, and gently.

It's too bad when we get excited over $7 cans of this. It used to be that price regularly. Petroleum is more expensive now, so we'll have to get used to it. I've heard it affects tire prices also.

And I know generally us US citizens have had it very easy on fuel prices for decades, don't take this as a complaint, but rather a lamentation.

It really effects everything. The company I work for during the day makes saline syringes and the cost per syringes has gone up one cent. That does not sound like much but when you sell over 300 million syringes per year, that is 3 million dollars in lost profit just because of gas.

I saw this deal on their sign and jumped on it because I have been wanting to do this. Now one can should be enough for two cars right?

If you're doing all 3 - intake, oil, gas tank - you'll need a can for each.
