BRAKE Issues/Horn Issues/Front Seat Issues

Post by Piehead »

Hi there,

As you can see, I have three issues with my 93' Volvo 850 GLT.

1) Front brakes- prior to getting my rotors and pads replaced on my front brakes, there was a pulsation when hitting the brakes. I recently got the rotors/pads replaced and it seems the pulsation in the brakes is still there. Does anyone know if this maybe something to do with the ABS??

2) My Horn slightly works, any ideas on how to fix?

3) Front Seat- it appears that the back tilt is jammed on one side. Prior research indicates that I need to replace the power seat cable. Is this cumbersome? How long does it take? Should a Volvo pro be doing this?

Any input to the above would be appreciated.

Cheers, Piehead

My rear brake rotors were replaced under warranty at about 15000km.
I had to have them machined again at 100,000km. I live in a tropical part of Australia and think that the cars were made for a colder climate. If you live in a warm area try having them machined, we have a local guy that does them while still on the car.

Like yours my horn button only works when it is in a good mood.
I need help to work out how to get to the switch.
