94 850 turbo steering drift at high speed

94 850 turbo steering drift at high speed

my 94 850 steering seems to loosen, sway, drift or have excessive play at higher speeds (over 55 mph). actually lost control the other day. scary. anybody know about this? is there anything I can check? thanks clay

There's a variety of things it could be, so I'll list them somewhat in an order of probability:

-Worn control arm bushings
-Worn tie rods
-Worn control arm ball joints
-Worn bushings on rear end trailing arms
-Broken strut mounts

For most of them it will be readily visible like so:
