I have a 2002 XC70 that is leaking around the fuel damper. It wasn't leaking until my friend was swapping fuel injectors to see whether one of mine was bad. He says he didn't do anything to the damper at all, but now fuel is just pouring out around it. We thought maybe it was just time to replace the O-ring, and was surprised to be told by the Volvo dealership and the local import specialty shop that no such part is available -- it's either buy the whole damper (with new O-ring!) or nothing at all.
Short of taking the damper in to the import shop and comparing the old O-ring (which I have, and doesn't look at all damaged, but I know that doesn't mean much) to a big bucket of various O-rings, does anyone have any advice, possibly another part number that is a functional replacement? Obviously, I need to seal this, but I don't think the damper is bad -- at least, there was no indication of that.
Thanks!

Replacement or Alternate Fuel Damper O-Ring?
Turns out, once we got the damper back in and pressure restored, it's no longer leaking. But this returns me to my original problem: failed fuel injector. Got any of those lying around?
