2005 XC70 Ballast Replacement

Can anyone tell me or direct me to a page that shows the front bumper removal on my 2005 XC70? I need to change the ballast and ignitor and was told the bumper cover needed to be removed to get top them?

I have a 2004 XC 70 and needed to replace the windshield washer pump not long ago. In my search for pumps (and for replacement headlight assembly) I found several "how to" for the removal of the bumper. Apparently, front bumper removal is required for several parts that need replacement often. It's pretty common so I imagine someone will chime in with a better answer than this before too long.

I had saved a link to a "how to" on front bumper removal on iPd ( http://www.ipdusa.com ) but they've changed their website and it doesn't work anymore. You might try giving them a call. 800-444-6473

(Remembering that I have a 2004) I was able to repair the pump without complete removal of the bumper. There are two bolts behind removable covers in the front of the bumper, one screw in each wheel well, and a series of clips and fasteners that hold the bumper and other plastic parts together. Based on my experience, removing and reinstalling the clips and fasteners without breaking them (and getting a good alignment when reinstalling) is the "art" in this project. It wasn't difficult. But it helped to have the schematic.
