Engine serial Number For '94 turbo(Need Info)

I know its found on the decal...my decal is smudged and I cant read it.
I read it is also engraved on the left side of the engine by firewall and down ......I do see this ther B 5234T and below it 190762 which I believe is the engine serial number...you need a mirror to get in ther to look which I did do.....I talked with several Volvo people and they almost dont believe this is true.... This is for 94 850 Turbo automatic

Question is: Is this true? Does the number on the block match the decal?
