SRS is a dealer reset item unless you have the DRAPER tool and your 850 or 70 series vehicle is '96 or newer. Other scan tools might be able to reset it but I haven't heard of such. But...for your SRS light to be on, and you're getting a code, you need to figure out what's wrong and have it fixed....we're talking airbag related. Our old 850 set an SRS light and it ended up being the spool inside the steering wheel that had broken. Wasn't cheap but wasn't outrageous either. With this piece broken, the airbags would not have engaged if we were in an accident.

My SRS light would not go off after it had gone on while my son drove with a flat tire in the highway.
I took out the fuse for the airbag and just turned the key on without starting the car. Took the key out of ignition and put the fuse back in.The light was off.
