Help! How to remove rear upper control arm from crossmember?

Post by quidam »

I have a 2008 Volvo s60 FWD. Does somebody know how to replace the rear upper control arm? The arm hinges on the rear crossmember on two brushing. It seems that its difficult to remove without somehow removing the rubber brushings first.

Does anyone have a good way of doing this?

Thanks!

This is something you really don't want to do yourself...you can crack the rear subframe.
Dealers are hesitant to remove rear control arms for this reason but if yours need to be done, let a shop (dealer or otherwise) so this and one who will stand behind their work
