The car is S80 2.9 2000 Manual transmission, with 230 000 km on it.
Some history: A mounth ago i went to the dealer for standart check of the suspension. I've been told there are gone bad these things:
1. Front left stabiliser link - done
2. Front left ball joint - done
3. Upper engine mount - done
4. Bottom engine mount - pending
5. Right engine mount - pending
6. Rear right shock absorber - pending
At that time I didn't hear the knocking sound. I always listen to a music loudly so it's possible to miss a suspension's bad sounds, you know
So, the problem: A sound like knocking coming from right, I belive. Because it's hard to explain a sound, I've done 2 videos.
Video from the right rear view mirror - here
Video from the left rear view mirror - here
The sound could be heard mostly when switching between 1-st gear and reverse. When i'm on 1-st, stop the car and go again it's almost not knocking. Same is in reverse. If i go very slowly it's possible not to hear that sound at all. Just watch the whole videos to see what I mean.
I know, the first thing you'll say is - drive shafts!
OK, but in case the shafts are gone bad I'll have such sound when making U-turns, too, right? But I don't. I made a video for that, too, (making circles in both sides) but there are alot of other sounds which makes the video useless.
However, I don't belive this sound could be because of the two engine mounts, left for replacing. In case the engine mount is the reason, the sound should be only on 1-st gear or only on reverse, or I'm wrong?
Honestly I had alot of ideas for what's wrong, but in the next few seconds i realise it couldn't be because of anything else.
One more - you'll give me an advice to do what the dealer says - replace the two engine mounts and see if it will fix the problem. OK I will but latter - it's not the right moment for such shopping
Thanks to all of you for your advices.
