Volvo 850 T5 wagon ecc unit

Hi from Australia, Swapped over the ECC units and fan speed resistors in my 850 t5's and have pinpointed that the ECC unit is not functioning in the wagon....was hoping to buy a 2nd hand unit from the wreckers but none available in Australia at present . There seems to be plenty available overseas at a reasonable price ( on ebay etc) but not for the same part number which is 9144255 . Is there any other ECC units which are interchangable, it seems there are plenty of them with different part numbers....Thanks Steve

I moved you to the proper forum so that you can an answer. I believe that they are all interchangeable but being an Australian market model may prove me to be wrong. The earlier models of the ECC seem to be dropping like flies. I think there was a manufacturing error that had a capacitor installed with reverse polarity that is causing the older units to fail.

The difference is LH drive have temp setting priority to LH knob and RH drive reverse this.
