2011 - Front wheel/steering pop sound on breaks/turns

Post by tonycxc90 »

When I first got my new xc90, it pulled to the left. Sent it straight back to the dealer.
It was still pulling left, after dealer tried to fix the problem , which they never did to my satisfaction, the front end started to have a popping sound on a combo of breaks and turns (usually on low speeds).

I have read these similar complaints on one or 2 forums from a few years back, but there was no definitive conclusions.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is this a major problem? What is the long term effect on the car?

here is on website that has the similar issue (in US)

I had a similar problem after hitting a big pot hole. The car pulled hard left during braking. One mech. missed it another found lower cotrol arm bushings broken.

The front brake pads are loose. I did not believe this but there is a TSB with a new method or material to tighten the pad in the shoe.
