Transmission fluid levels are ok and light brown. Have moved the gear position selection switch back and forth 15-20 times. Have looked at the gear selector switch near battery and that seems visually ok.
Any suggestion would help.
If I get stuck in snow, I rock the car back and forth to clear the car out using "D" and "R". Before shifting back and forth btw the two positions, I always ensure that I pause briefly at "N". Isn't this the right way?Jot wrote:I had the same problem on an 850 that was caused by my rocking the car from forward to reverse and having the shift lever stop between two locations. A code reader will clear the light and limp home mode. If no code reader gisconnect the battery for a couple of minutes. You need the radio code and also will need to reset the clock.
