Passenger Airbag door

The Airbag door on the passenger side on a 94 Volvo 850 has a plastic piece broken and rattling inside and the covering is totally warped also warped is the neighbouring dashboard. Does anybody know how to open it and fix it? I don't want to do more damage. All suggestions are appreciated.

i don't think you can fix it. but the entire dash cover and air bag can be replaced pretty easily with a used one. cost me 80 buckers for the part and the better part of a saturday to do the work. a repair manual helps a lot..

How do you take out the airbag?

The airbag is built into the dash and doesn't have a door. are you possible talking about the glove box which can have a problem with the linkage preventing it from opening.

It's in the dash board on the passenger side. After many years in the hot sun they curl up and look ugly. I know they can be replaced. Contact the guys here to get a used one in your color: http://www.erievovo.com/
