K&N air filter, OMP front strut brace, Brembo front rotors and carbon fibre brake pads.

What's on your Volvo? :P

I simply added 4 more cylinders

My 1989 744TI currently has a 350HP Ford 302, a Ford Racing Close Ratio 5 speed, long tube headers, dual 2 1/2" exhaust, iPd lowing springs, Bilstein shocks, Brembo rotors, MSD6AL ignition, and lots of other goodies.

A newer and much better small block Ford engine is in the works (target is 425-450HP).
Volvo's are great, but a V8 Volvo will put a permanent smile on anyone's face. :D

Wow, beautiful Volvo... I ran across your site before, maybe from volvotuning.com?

Have you (either of you - Cliff or Volvord) taken it to the dragstrip? What numbers did you post?

The Mustang the engine was in prior to installing it into my Volvo, with a standard wide ratio T5 posted a best time of 12.2 seconds at 115 mph. The cars weigh about the same but with my inexperience at 1/4 mile racing I am sure my times will be slower. Estimate low 13's.

I am in the process of building a new engine which means the car is currently not running, and besides here in Canada it is winter and not really the best conditions to drive a car like this. I will be taking her to the track this summer when the new engine is complete and will let you know the times

That black 740 with the Ford V8 is truly awsome! I have imagined placing the old 302 thats sitting in the garage, into my '81 240 wagon. I love seeing other fast volvos and am going to attempt to make my own as soon as I finish collage. There are many web sites out there, but usually the best and most profitable help comes from other fanatics, not companies. Therefore, I would appriciate any guidence in my and other peolpes' attempt in modifying volvos.

I am looking to fist of all, stiffen my suspension, and replace bushings. Do any of you seasoned gentlemen have some suggestions? (1986 240DL sedan)

By saying "seasoned gentlemen" I take that as "old farts" ... but that is OK, I understand  lol.

Be happy to answer any of your questions. iPd (www.ipdusa.com) is the place to go for suspension components, springs, sway bars, shocks, and for the 200 series urethane bushings.

The Ford 5.0L (302) swap is relativly simple and easily accomplished by anyone who have maderate mechanical skills, patience, and of course a few spare $$$ laying around

If your looking to stiffen your handling then an investment into an OMP strut brace would work wonders for you. If you would like to see how to install one go to volvospeed.com and clikc on mods.

Good luck.
