You set the crankshaft to the point where gear is PERFECTLY aligned with pointer on oil pump and then you install the locking tool to the back of the cams to hold them in the correct position. Take the CVVT hub and fit onto cam and then tighten thecenter bolt and then rotate the gear left and right and it will lock. You may find it already locked when you first try to rotate it left and right but you must know it has locked before you do the rest of the process.
Loosen the center bolt and rotate the gear until the mark on gear is aligned with the top cover pointer. Loosen intake cam gear and then fit the belt and the belt and recheck that the gears are both aligned with the mark on cover and that the crankshaft is still aligned. If the alignment of marks is not correct then remove belt and adjust as needed and refit belt. The crankshaft mark HAS TO BE PREFECTLY ALIGNED, the cam gear marks may be off a little as they are not so precisely marked when engine is manufactured. With all marks in proper place and belt fitted now tension the belt with the eccentric tensioner by rotating it to left using a 6mm hex key. Make the pointer on tensioner go to the right past the correct tension and then move hex key the other way to reduce the tension back to the correct range. Tighten the center bolt to lock tensioner. Now torque the intake gear bolts and torque the TX55 bolt on exhaust cvvt and install the plug on cvvt and torque it. remove the tool from cams and fit the cam position sensor reluctor and cam pos. sensor and the plug on end of intake cam opening and you are done.
