1995 940 Wagon (non-turbo) - Vacuum Tree Location

Post by TWR1980 »

I want to seafoam "Black Betty" but I am starting to think she doesn't have a vacuum tree. Can anyone tell me where the vacuum tree is for a 95 940 wagon? If there is not a vacuum tree what is the best way to seafoam? Thanks.

if you barely open throttle the small diameter line on throttle body has vacuum. It is ported vacuum so the hole is in front of a closed throttle and then the opening throttle passes it with very little throttle opening. This line goes to the vacuum operated charcoal canister purge valve.

I was wondering what that line was for when I cleaned my throttle body yesterday. But what I really want to know is does my 95 940 wagon (non-turbo) have a vacuum tree and WHERE is it?

No vacuum tree. There is a hose to brake booster and one other connection for the vacuum source for HVAC
