Hello from Australia,
Just picked up a V40 2001 Phase 2 SE, although I understand it was manufactured in 2000. My first question (i imagine a few will follow) is about remote key. It only came with 1 normal key but the seller said he was sure it originally had a remote. I called a local dealer & they couldn't give me a definite answer. The manual for the car doesn't mention anything about a remote unit which makes me think it is without but is there anything I can physically check on the car?
Thanks

Hello Mate; wlecome to Matthew's Volvo Site.
It should have came with three keys and two remote control. Now, if you want a key made, dealer only. Also, if you want remote control, e-bay/dealer/classified ads, BUT, it MUST be programmed by the dealer with the car. Programming in the U.S. about $165.00
