ok, the new used motor that i put in is doing very well. its got alot of power and good compression. about 3 times during some of my test drives, i started getting a misfire code. i had my code reader pluged in and also my motor sputtered very quickly.
is there anything that would have caused this misfire? i changed the plugs but i havent got around to changing the cap and rotor yet since they are not regularly stocked and the local parts store.
thanks

Angelglo,
You answered your own question. The Rotor Cap, Rotor, and Plugwires are the "usual" cause of these errors.

t2,
thanks. i just wanted to be sure that there was nothing else regarding volvos that might cause a misfire like having the windows rolled down 3/4 on a rainy thurs. i will be going to the volvo dealer to get the cap and rotor.

Save yourself some money and get them from FCPGroton.com. If you need wires get the Bougicord wires. They are the OEM manufacturer for Volvo and the wires are the exact replacement, even down to the Volvo name on the wires. Stay away from the Bosch wires.
