2001 c70 sometimes it won't start

At least once a day I have trouble starting my c70. It will turn over and then just stall out. After about 3 times doing that it will start. Sometimes taking out the key and putting it back in seems to work. I took it to the repair shop and they said it might be a cam sensor. Also my engine light is on and the code came up vaccuum system. Any advise would help

Have you checked to make sure some vacuum hoses haven't come lose? Also -- How does it run once you do get it to start?
