2006 Volvo s60 2.5 T Engine:B5254T2
Problem: low beam lights are not working.
Bulbs, fuses and cabling checked.
There is new type of CEM installed in this car (2006).
Question: is this CEM has relays and shunts to replace or whole unit to be replaced?

the 2005 and later use transistor circuits in place of the earlier relays and shunts. CEM will have to be replaced if external sources have been eliminated.
The CEM will shut off power supply and set a DTC if it senses excess current draw. Usually this would only happen on right or left and not both as it is a separated function side to side.
