A/C Compressor/Condenser Line blown
The A/C line that runs from the compressor to the condenser on my ’02 S80 blew today. The fitting the holds the metal hose and the rubber hose together somehow separated and the rubber hose blew out of the connector. I’ve done some looking around and have been told that I need to replace the entire line and that there is no way to reconnect the hoses into that metal fitting. Has anyone ever replaced this before? If so, what is the best way to reconnect the hose to the condenser and compressor? Any help would be appreciated.

They are correct. You can't re-crimp the sleeve that acts as a clamp to hold the rubber onto the metal line.
I don't want to put more on you but those hoses had not a history of failure. The fan may not be working properly or you may have a faulty expansion valve. Condenser could be partly clogged with bugs or other debris blocking air path. Something is likely making high side pressure too high and created too much load for the crimped metal sleeve to be able to hold line. It could be nothing more than a faulty hose too. Was it cooling well before it blew apart? Cooling OK when sitting and idling?
