Where dio I place jack stand AND jacks to raise car 01 s60

planning to replace front control arm on daughter's car, not sure where to place jack to lift and while lifted to lower onto a jack stand. thanx, mike

I just put my jack under the middle cross frame member about 2 feet in from the front of the vehicle, then I put the jack stands under the side near where the cross member attaches to the frame of the car. When I take the wheel off I put that under the side of the car ,just in case
