Hi, i own a 1994 Volvo 850 Non-Turbo 2.4L 20 Valve. My "Check Engine" Light came on about a week ago. I searched the forums and found out how to check for diagnostic codes, so I did a check on 'A2 - Fuel System' and the code '1-3-2' came up, then I did a little more searching and i found out that it means that the Battery Voltage is too low/high. How do I narrow it down from there and over all fix the problem?
Thanks Alot.
Check engine light is on, know the problem, need extra help

My first thought would be a voltage regulator. Have you had any problems recently with the battery or starting the car? Does your battery show any signs of overcharging (moisture around the vents or swolen battery)?

I would suspect a dying battery (too high or too LOW, right?).

The thing is, i recently bought a new battery (bout 6 mos. ago). However, I've noticed that every single time i get out of the car and shut the door, my hand gets zapped by the car. Very annoying. I want to avoid taking it to a mechanic though. BTW, sorry for the delay of my reply, but my Internet has been down.

That code is certainly not one that I see people have very often. Best bet is to reset it, see if it comes back, and if it does, replace the voltage regulator.
