99 S80 T6 Alarm service required message?

I got a alarm service message on my info panel 1999 S80T6.
Any ideas.

the most common cause is faulty siren module but there is no way to know for sure without code read or spending the money for siren module and hoping that does it.

Hey jimmy? do you know the easiest way to tell if the car has an alarm fitted. I have asked this question before but no one ever replies. It has a little light on the top of the dash. I have tried as suggested on here, locking the car with a window down and opening the door from the inside but the indicators don't flash etc. No fault codes showing. 1999 volvo s80 t6.
