DRL / Headlight Indicator Light Puzzle...'01 V70T5

Post by dkingpro »

My 2001 V70 has an odd intermitent (sp?) electrical glitch I am hoping I can fix myself with help from the forum.
Headlight switch: if the switch is in the 12 oclock position (which is where I leave it) and the small green indicator light just to the left of the switch is iluminated, all systems are go. Anytime this indicator light is not burning (which happens frequently) the car is fine EXCEPT highbeams will not go to the 'stay on' position and neither the front or rear fogs will work. Both ALWAYS work if the little green light is working...if I can get this indicator light to stay one, problems solved!
Thanks ahead!!!......ok to answer me direct @ [email protected]

Yes indeed...thank you...this could even be salvage part now that I think about it...does anyone have any experience in changing out a part like this?...I'm far from being a mechanic, but if it's plug & play I could probably do it...the switch module looks to be contained in basically a square panel...Comments about a DIY on this appreciated! dkingpro
