2000 XC70 losing power and surging when accelerating

2000 XC70 losing power and surging when accelerating

I have a 2000 Volvo Xc70 with 165000 miles on it. It has started surging a little bit at stop signs and I just noticed today when I was really opening her up on the interstate that she is surging at high speeds and seems to be losing power. The engine is running fine just having problems with power. I am getting prepared to drive from IL to CO in a week or so and am concerned about this problem. Any advice would help. Thanks

Have you checked the intake hoses to make sure they are not loose? If it isn't a vacuum issue then more then likely it is an issue with fuel delivery.

You have a model with a failure prone Electronic Throttle Module.
