CAN ANYONE OUT THERE HELP ME, I BOUGHT A 1996 VOLVO 850 2.5 10V AUTO A MONTH AGO, SHORTLY AFTER I TURNED OFF THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE RAN ON FOR A FEW SECONDS, AT THE NEXT FUEL FILL UP I PUT IN A BOTTLE OF INJECTOR CLEANER THAT CURED THE PROBLEM FOR ABOUT 1000 MILES BUT NOW THE RUN ON PROBLEM IS BACK, SOME DAYS ITS FINE, THE NEXT IT DOES IT EVERYTIME I STOP THE ENGINE, ALSO THE TICKOVER IS ABIT ROUGH, WHEN YOU SELECT DRIVE IT NEARLY STALLS, THE CAR HAS DONE 130000 MILES HAS JUST HAD A FULL SERVICE, I DONT HAVE ANY ECU MANAGEMENT FAULT LIGHTS ON IN THE CAR, I HAVE ALSO TAKEN OUT THE INJECTOR RAIL AND CHECKED THE INLET VALVES FOR CARBON BUILD UP AND THERE IS NONE, THIS ONE HAS GOT ME REALLY STUMPED, HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM OR DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE YOU COULD GIVE ME.

Change petrol station this problem normally happens when the petrol is adulterated with kerosene to make extra money for the dealer. kerosene is cheaper.
