I need to put 4 tires on my '01 V70 T5 before winter. I am looking for rec's for a decent all season tire, without spending $1000! It currently has BF Goodrich (I think they are G Force something or others. They SUCK in the snow! I work in a hospital, so I need something that will be fair in the snow up to a few inches. What say you?
Thanks!

I think it's better to have a set of snows for winter, no all-season tires will ever come close to the performance of dedicated snow tires. That being said we put a set of Toyo Proxes 4s on the S60 and they've been great. Really grippy and a good ride.

I'd get Continental Extreme DWS (D=dry, W=wet, S=snow, neat huh?
). I too (well, my wife, grrr) have a P2 wagon, so the behavior on your car will be similar to that of mine.
I'd do what priapism does only

my garage is smaller than some large houses' closets.
^ That's me doing the control arms and strut mounts last December. Did one side, then lowered her onto my jack and skateboard, pushed the nose to the other side of the closet, then did that side. No place to store a second set of wheels, is what I'm trying to say here.
Shameless self-promotion: I'm a Tire Rack "affiliate" and get credit when you buy using my links. Here's my Tire Rack promotions page which auto-updates itself with new tire deals every 2 weeks or so. Click any of those and I get credit when you buy. Here's how my Tire Rack Continental Extreme purchase went.
