Spoiler question

Post by bronxnativ »

Looks like I found my spoiler! Question is, I have a non-turbo 850 and spoiler is for a turbo model. May sound like a naive question, but will it fit?

Yes it will. The spoiler is held on with double sided foam tape and two clamps at the ends.

All the same. You may want to buy a mounting kit but in my case, when I bought my first 850, the spoiler had fallen off so the dealer just threw it in the trunk.

The mount clamps kinda stretched so I crimped them back down and then used some 3M trim tape to fortify the mounting positions. Several years later no problem, except that the clear coat is coming off and I need to get it re-painted.

The trunk shocks are different between the cars with and without the spoiler so you will likely need to replace those as well, with the weak ones it can become a guillotine.
