Drivers side front window rebounds

I'm looking for any advice on how to fix my drivers side front window (2005 xc70). When I use the "express up" position on the window switch, the window closes then immediately rebounds and opens. When I use the regular position on the window switch the window will close properly and stays closed. Thank you.

Manually put the window up, don't click the auto up
HOLD the switch in the full up (closed position) for 5 seconds while the window is fully closed.... repeat
Sometimes that will reset it, otherwise a trip to the dealer is in order to reset it
Also look in the track for anything that the window may be hitting and using the auto back down feature

Just tried your suggestion and ... bummer... it didn't work. Not sure if it is a sensor or a switch issue. Looks like a trip to the folks who have more expertise than I. Thanks for your suggestion JRL.

put the window down. find the fuse for the driver's window control unit, I think they will call it driver's door module on fuse box cover on end of dash.
Auto up the window and while the window is moving pull the fuse for the driver's door module. leave fuse out for a couple of minutes and operate the driver's window switch while fuse is out. Now reinstall fuse and roll window up and hold it like JRL said to do. The memory of window position has to be blanked by use of VIDA or by de-powering the door module while the position memory is in use, auto up and down are when that memory is used. The do it yourself method leaves some fault codes but you will get no warning lights or anything to let you know it has codes unless some reads DTC's or you do the car DTC presence check.

Sometimes the rubber vertical tracks get dry and "grip" the glass as it goes up, especially when the outside temp. is up there. Since the motor has a resistance limiter in it to prevent small children, animals and the brain dead from sticking their heads, etc in the window as it goes up, the motor sees the resistance of a dry track as a kid's head. What I do is put a dab of silicone grease in about the spot where the window appears to grab and trigger the return. Then do as JRL suggests and run the glass up and down a couple of times fully to the stops to work the grease into the rubber tracks. Try that and see if it helps. Its a cheap fix if it works.

Use some light silicone spray, then rub it in the tracks with your finger
Remove any excess or your windows may get smeared
(They may anyway for a day or two)
This is recommended every couple of years anyway

Our 2005 S80 did that for a while, then decided to start working properly again. I don't know if it was when I cleaned out the track real well that fixed it, or when I diconnected the battery for a few minutes.

This seems to confirm JRL and Jimmy57's suggested methods. On 2009 S60, had the driver door window up rebound problem. Cleaning and lubricating the tracks didn't resolve the problem.
Pulled LH door module fuse while window was going up. Waited 5 minutes and reinserted fuse. At this point window neither auto up or down would operate. Repeated JRL's method for both the full up and full down position several times. Window now functions perfectly! I doubt that's just a coincidence.
