1999 S70 RESET PROCEDURE FOR SRS LIGHT

Ok Matthew,

Are your able to reset the SRS light on my 1999 S70Volvo?

My daughter put a hug flower pot on the front passenger seat and I think that’s what causes the light to turn on.

Also I was noticing that my radiator cooling fans have been coming on after any short drive. I don’t remember them always turning on after parking and turning of my car as much. What do you think? My car has 121K miles on it.

Sadly hat is a dealer only kinda thing unless you can get a copy of VOL-FCR and a Vag -Com cable. That has worked to reset my SRS on a '96 but once you hit '99 everything seems to change so I may not be accurate. Other options have been the Draper reset tool.

In all cases the underlying problem must be fixed before the system can be reset. In my case I hooked up the battery with the line to one of the airbags unplugged - ooops.
